ALEX FAKSO

Alexa Fakso is a skate photographer who started out in the 90’s. He then grew an interest for graffiti and moved onto photohraphing it, which led to record the process of graffiti writers in London. He has also worked for companies such as Adidas and Diesel, and his own company fast or die. Alex has a very bold style of photography, using moving people to sourround the subject of the photoraphs. Alex influenced me heavily in the sense that his photograph inspired me to find a subject that is mundane such as a sign and turn it into something which can represent a place cleary to the audience. I also noticed that with each project Fakso does (fast or die, heavy metal etc) he changes the style slightly in order to co-ordinate with the theme and the location which he is shooting in. Alex has also worked in the fahsion industry, using his bold and urban/street style to his advantage while brands are promoting such products, for example Adidas, Nike and Diesle.
